I got no idea which part you are referring to.
Maybe take a picture of the part and post it here.

The following pictures are of the planetarium taken apart, and the case skid steer that it came from. I called it a PLANETARIUM/ because that's what people have called it. Is there another name for it? Your help is greatly appreciated as I am not very knowledgeable and I've tried for years to get this part replaced, new, rebuild or used:)van

I think this is what you're looking at... Pitifully not the exact same model of machine, but this is similar to the part.

Planetary assembly.

A planetarium is a big building that has a projection of a star field shown on the ceiling.

A planetary gear system is an inline gear reduction system that has a sun gear (in the middle), planet gear in/on a carrier around the sun, with a ring gear around the outside.

Ah, you're talking about the planetary gears attached to the drive motors.
They have nothing to do with the lift arms, that's what was confusing about the original post.

If those have gone bad, you'll have a very hard time replacing them.
They were only used for a couple years.

Your best bet would be to buy the newer style motor(s) and just replace them.
The newer motors do not use planetary gears since they are geroler motors.
They just bolt directly to the drive sprockets.
