Case 1816: will it do what I need?

I'm looking at a case 1816 a fellow has for sale for $5500.

Says it runs well. He replace some fuel lines some filters only has around 550 hours on it. Been mostly sitting at a barn the last few years, unused. Tires still good he claims.

Has a Kohler engine which I believe is good for about 16 hp. Comes with bucket.

My only experience is using a Toro dingo rented from Home Depot.

That has about 25 hp but uses a track and I had decent luck with it moving dirt from one place to another.

My needs now are on a piece of property I bought where I need to level off some high spots… move the dirt to fill in some low spots… make an area to drop a 20 foot shipping container… Dig some shallow trenches to control water runoff coming down the hills.

Just general all around use around the property.

Is this unit going to do it for me or am I going find its way under powered right out of the gate?

I think, it CAN do what you want, but it might take a very long time to do so,
SO< ?? do you have a lot of time on your hands to burn?
if not, I'd say either rent larger equipment to do whats needed, or look for a larger machine!
