I just picked up this 1979 case 1740, the previous owner had the hydraulics for the boom and tilt go out on him. He replaced the hydraulic pump and the variable speed valve. After reinstalling the boom and tilt worked for about 10 minutes and then quit on him and he was fed up with it and sold it to me. If anyone has some insight that would be much appreciated, fluid in the reservoir is full. Do these lines need to be bled? Can this pump lose its prime?
