Case 1737 Uniloader Drives Very Slow / Weak

Just bought a used Case 1737 on Craigslist that has a very responsive bucket loader, but when I drive it is very very slow and I can't drop the bucket and push into dirt with it or it bogs down and all four wheels stop turning with even just a little resistance. It is slow to turn too. I've been searching for a 1700 series manual to download but have not found any PDF's that show me even where to add hydraulic fluid (I'm wondering if I were low on fluid, would it cause those symptoms?) I'm not a mechanic so any ideas (or have a PDF operator/parts/service manual) you might have would be great. My motor is running very strong, and the drive belt looks fine. Thanks Matt

If its bogging down i'd suspect the engine is lazy. I'd check the compression and possibly get the pump or at least the injectors checked/cleaned. Does it blow smoke as it bogs down? How does it start?
If its bet driven, it could be a slipping belt. The hydraulics don't take a great deal of power, the drive system sure does.
Usually if its a pump/drive motor problem, it won't bog down, it simply won't have any power. I'd start with checking out the engine. Ensure the air filter is clean and your getting fuel, if there is a restriction when you throttle up and put it under load, the engine will want more fuel to keep the speed up, if it can't get it, it will bog down due to lack of fuel.
Just a few ideas, hopefully its something simple.

The gas motor sounds strong, no smoke, starts easy, idles well, rpms go up smoothly. It just doesn't drive fast and won't push into the dirt at all. It is belt driven, the belt doesn't ride on top of the drive pulley, it is half way down into it. I'm wondering if it is worn or if it suppose to ride there. Here are a couple pictures I took of it as it sits now: http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k319/newhampshirefarms/051010192556.jpg http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k319/newhampshirefarms/051010192537.jpg Thanks Matt

I forgot to mention, the belt reads 0805 on it. Is that a part number? If I need a new belt, where do I get one and what do I ask for, a 0805 belt? Thanks Matt

It looks like its a vairable speed setup... Does this machine run clutches too? i wonder if they could be slipping?
The 'standard' belt drive to the drive pumps is generally done with a multi-grove V belt, this looks like its a wide single V belt usually used in vairable speed setups.
I have no experience with this machine, hopefully another member will have some more knowledge.

I only see what looks like a snowmobile style clutch at the other end of the drive belt... Here's a picture: http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k319/newhampshirefarms/clutch.jpg Thanks- Matt

Follow the belt to the large pulley. Drive into a hill to put a load on the system. When it doesn't move, is the large pulley spinning? If yes, your problem is the clutch plates on each side that need either adjustment (tightening) or replacement. If no, on the variable speed lever - push it fwd. Does the small pulley "squeeze" making the front pulley larger and the rear pulley smaller? It should so the problem is in the variable speed pulley's hydraulics.
