hey, i'm going to weld a hook on my buckets. do you guys prefer a d-ring or a regular 3/8 chain hook? i already have 2 weld on d-rings that i bought and never used, any advantage to that? a d-ring wouldnt be as sharp and pointy and you can put a chain through it.

They both have their advantages. A chain hook is nice because you dont need to fool around with the whole chain. D-rings are nice for tying down the machine, but can be noisy as the the ring bangs around on the bucket as your working. The hooks on my bucket have a 3/4" loop on the top instead of the roll pin and cotter key like alot of chain hooks. That lets me use a clevis with a 3/4" pin thru the chain hook hole when I want or need a D-ring.

I prefer the chain hooks but both will work. I like two hooks more or less in line with the lift arms and mount plates.
