Bobcat Sweeper

Help Support SkidSteer Forum:

I don't have a manuel for you , but have alot of time on sweepers , maybe something I could point you in the direction of

I can't help with a Bobcat manual, however the Sweepster Owners Manual is available and includes how to adjust and operate it properly.
I bought an old sweeper. It may be restored back to use but I wanted to see if I could find a hydraulic drive motor for it before I go any futher. The sweeper brush will need to be replaced pretty soon too. Besides some dents the frame work is in pretty good shape.

yes , an motor and brushers can be gotten easily from a source other than the dealer

Could you tell me where I can find them? I would appreciate it.
http://www.sweepster.com/ has the brushes ,convaluted is the word they use to discribe them , find it's better to buy 1/2 ans 1/2 of steel and poly and mix them in the stack , the brushes will last longer , ask them about it ----------------------- any hydraulic supply house can match the motor , I use Hydradyne in Greater New Orleans Area , they have locations all over the country , use your goggle , you will need a oem tag number off the motor , or if the salesman is good a discription including shaft size , bolt pattern , port sizes and threads , etc , if the tag is not there you take the motor in for evaluation and matching up ,-------------------------------- nothing special about that motor , on things like swing motors and such what Bobcat did was have a manufacturer make a motor with something different about it , like 20 splines instead of the normal 18 , everything else about it would be the same , so that they could charge you 400 more for it than the OEM because there is no after market , but that sweeper isn't that way , Char-lynn was a manufacturer that made a compatabile motor , Parker in recent times has gobbled up a bunch of the hydraulic manufactuers

I realize this post is a couple of years old, but I picked up a 72" pickup broom and I'm also looking for a manual...or even the orginal specs on the drive motor as I think the unit on this one was replace and it's not in good shape. I have my work cut out for me as the motor mount is cracked as well :(
