Bobcat S185 Turbo

I am wondering what kind of paperwork should I get when purchasing a used s185 bobcat from a private seller. Is there a title like a car? is 2600 hrs alot for a 2003 are there any issues with this bobcat that I should be concerned with?Thanks for any advice Gary1066

There is no title. All i have ever gotten is serial number, hours they sign it saying paid in full. Id do the same when selling, date, hours, serial number in “as is condition” paid X amount. I'm from Australia, but pretty sure its more or less the same everywhere.

In Canada, or at least Nova Scotia you can purchase without a permit/registration (like a car). If you do so, you cannot drive/cross or get insurance for work within the road right of way. This isn't a problem for most people, but it might be when you go to sell it. Farm tractors are the same way, no permit...no plates...no insurance...no travelling on/by roadways. Might be a good idea to check with a local dealer to see what the requirements are in your location. The problem comes when/if you want to get the permit and it is in someones name previous to who you bought it from.
