Hey fellas,
I have a 963 bobcat (recently purchased) and I'm trying to find out what RPM's the engine should be running at when at max speed?

I ask because the owners manual states that the hydraulic pump is rated at 26gpm but that's at 3,300 RPM.

When I put the throttle all the way up in the cab I barely hit 2,300 rpm so I'm wondering if I need to adjust something on the throttle.

The main reason I'm asking is that I have a snow blower rated at 26gpm and I know I won't get that rated flow unless I'm at the rated rpm's of 3,300.

I am brand new to the forum so I'd like to say thanks for any and all help!

The specs show a high idle of 2335-2400 RPM.
I have included photos of the Technical Service Guide. Make sure to use the one for your SN.

Also, just because the engine is turning at a certain RPM does not mean that the pump is turning at the same RPM. I believe that machine is belt driven and different sized pulleys or drive wheels will cause the pump to turn faster than the engine.

The rating of the 963 is either 26.2 or 27.9 GPM depending on your serial number. So if your engine idle speed is correct then you should get these flows unless your pump is worn out.
