I have a Bobcat 883 with Turbo and High Flow. Lately, it has been running like it has a miss and it wants to stall if the throttle is 3/4 to all the way up. It was recently into Bobcat dealer for complete check up. Replaced: hydrolic tank, fuel tank, timing belt & all other belts. New Alternator, new compressor for AC., heater just fixed. Any ideas what is wrong or how to tell without going to dealer? Tired of being ripped off by dealer, everytime I take it there, it never gets fixed right! Someone please help! Also, looking for a place to buy Bucket Bushings and Lift Arm Bushings besides dealer!

What did that cost?, you have to pull the engine to get the fuel tank, and the hyd tank is not any better
It has obviously had a new fuel filter by now (I hope) and with a new fuel tank the fuel pickup should have been check. I would try installling a electric fuel pump to feed the engine or otherwise check the lift pump ovet to be sure it is suppling plenty of fuel. Maybe a low psi guage to see if the line maintains 5 (or so) psi when the engine is under heavy loads.

That should have the Deutz engine in it. On the fuel pump there is a small screw that holds a round cover in place. Behind the cover is a screen that may be plugged and causing problems.

Found the problem. Had Bobcat dealer come out to jobsite. They said it needs a new Turbo. Will cost $2,000-$3.000. Do you know if and where I can get one cheaper or rebuilt? Do all the bobcat models have the same turbo? Do I need one specifically for the 883 or is there another model it is compatable with?

It cost over $3,000. I had the dealer send someone out to my jobsite to look at it again. The guy is saying it's the turbo. It will cost $2-3,000 to replace. Do you know anywhere I can get it cheaper or a rebuilt one? Are all the turbos for the models the same? Do I need one for the 883 specifically or is it compatible with another model?

Pretty sure they can be bought cheaper than that. The turbo is specific to the engine, not the machine model.

There is a company called Majestic Turbo 1800-231-5566 they rebuild turbos. They have an add in Diesel Power magizine. I called them to ask what it would cost to have my Dodge cummins turbo rebuilt, $400 that was 2yrs ago. Rich M-37
