Bobcat 731 Deutz Motor replacement

My 731 motor is worn out. It is a F2L511 Deutz 2 cyl diesel. Does anyone know if a Deutz F2L912 motor will work? Another question would be regarding the way the pump mates to the engine. Is this a standard "universal" mount or did Bobcat change this with each model. Thanks and new to the forum as well as the world of skid steers!

I can't tell you if the engine will fit or not, but the pump coupling is the same all the way up to a 743B. Splined shaft, and universal joints.
If the height and HP of the donor engine match, hopefully it will work.
