Bobcat 722 stalling issues

I've been using this skidsteer over the past few weeks and for the most part everything is going well. The engine is brand new and running well. After some time...one day it ran most of the day, today it ran for a few hours, when I'd hit a stop (i.e. bucket fully in one position or another), the engine struggles and will stall if I don't release the pedal right away. It will start right back up afterward. I'm going to make sure the hydraulic fluid isn't low. It shouldn't be as I don't see any obvious signs. Any ideas? Thanks!

It sounds like the bypass isn't opening. Normally, when you dead head a system (trying to move a cylinder that's already fully extended) you'll hear a squall of protest as a safety bypass opens, allowing the pressure to go somewhere before something explodes.
It's a good thing that the engine dies, the alternative is something breaking.
I'd test to see if all the hyd functions did the same, at idle. If the bypass is stuck, it should behave the same on lift, tilt and aux.
If the bypass works normally on lift and aux, that's another matter.

Until it get's hot, it works fine and I do hear the squall. I hear it too right before it stalls. I spoke with a contractor friend of mine who suggested that the engine (a bit puny) may be overheating and losing power. I have been pushing her (and me) pretty hard. I will pay closer attention this time when it starts to stall to see if I still hear the safety bypass before she stalls. Thanks!

I've discovered the problem..I replaced the temperature gauge because of the way it was acting...sure enough it's getting hot. Going to start with the radiator. The valve is working. It works fine, but the stress on the engine when it get's hot is enough to shut it down...more to come. Thanks for the assistance.

Being a petrol/gas engine, hen it gets hot, it could be turning the fuel to vapor and causing it to stall. Not sure if those engines had a temeprature limiting device, so if it was to get too hot it would shut down for safety.
I'd start with the radiator too.

I think that's what's happening. The radiator was a 'little' low and topping it off helped. I'm also working it harder than I probably ever will again. I'm good for a few hours of constant work ripping out full buckets of dirt and rock. I've started working smarter and alternating between pulling out loads and hand digging where the it won't fit ("smarter" would probably involve hiring someone else's younger back than mine). Thanks for all of the help! All in all, I'm getting a lot done and between this and my backhoe (that will need a hydraulic pump replacement soon), I'm enjoying the work and the progress I'm making on my future home. Thanks!
