Bobcat 632 fuel pump

I have a 1978 bobcat 632 with the ford industrial 4 cylinder engine 4-98 and I would like to know if there is a fuel pump from the local auto parts store that will bolt up to this engine, or am I forced to deal with Bobcat .

The pump is about $70 from bobcat. Bring every number you can find on the engine, NAPA should have something. Even though everbody says it is a pinto engine, it is an industrial engine I don't know how many parts actually interchange.

does any one know if a 1971-1972 pinto 1.6 fuel pump, or a 1980 ford fiesta 1.6L fuel pump will fit on the Bobcat ford industrial 4-98 gas 632 engine?

I can walk accross the street and buy a 1980 ford fiesta fuel pump for 35.00 out the door with a 1 year warrantee. Or drive over 20 miles to the bobcat dealer and pay 75.00 and get less of a warantee. from the photos I see online they look like a match, but I was hoping some one that has been there and done that could point me in the right direction and school me.

I got mine at Napa, I brought the oem one up and they matched the casting numbers on it and had it the same day..Works great..same thing I had,

Thank You! it is a Carter pump and a common one at that. I found a NEW one on Ebay for 31.95 to the door. About half of what napa wanted. Thank You for the Part number.

I looked at my napa receipt also $28.87 got that same day...

Here are more part numbers for you 632 owners to write down when needing a fuel pump for the Ford Gasoline 4-98 engine. GENERAL MOTORS OE 7990448 , and Airtex 1002 mechanical pump.
