Hey Guys, Just figured out - my block heater died. In the U.P. of Michigan in January, that's not good! This one lasted 1 year - it was OEM Bobcat. Who knows what the best type of block heater is - and that's easy to install. This last one had a big bend in the heating element, and it simply wouldn't go in correctly. I had to straighten it out a bit to install it. So, I'm trying to figure out what would be a good one to install. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob

We use the bobcat ones. Usually they go in easy especially if there is already one there. I would try a replacement cord. Many times they break at the bend where they hook to the heater. If you do install a new one make sure the element doesn’t touch the block
