The bobcat website currently lists one of their backhoe models as the 8811. There is a unit for sale listed as an 811. Does anyone know what the differences are? Will an 811 fit on a 763 skidsteer? What modifications are required? Thanks, -dch

I'm farely certain the 800 series hoes are too heavy for your 763. They are usually paired with a 709, or a 909 is the older one that uses the 2 trailer balls to steady the upper part of the machine. A hoe for a 763 should have about a 9' max dig depth (which the 709 or 909 does) incase you are looking at brands besides bobcat. I'm not sure what the difference is between the 811 and 8811. Ken

Ken, Thanks so much for the information and suggestions. New to bobcats and bought mine to help build my house. Would like to add a hoe, but - as you can tell - know little about the attachments. Thanks again.

The 8811 replaces the 811. The 811 served as Bobcat's largest backhoe offering; when the S250 and S300 came out, the 8811 took over that position. I'm not sure what the primary differences are, but as Ken mentioned, the 811/8811 will probably be too heavy for your machine. (Note -- they should fit the Bobtach, but your digging performance will suffer.)

Everything Tigerotor77w mentioned is correct. The only difference between the 811 and the 8811 that I know of is the backhoe frame where it attaches to the bobcat. The old 811 has mounting hooks just outside the lift arms. Well with the new K Series loaders, the lift arms are beefed up and much wider than the older skidsteers. This makes it impossible to mount an 811 on a K Series. The new 8811 now has to mount inside between the lift arms. You can actually turn a 811 into a 8811 by swapping out the mane frame of the hoe. Everthing else is the same. If you wanted to change a 811 to a 8811 is change the main frame.

Here is the backhoe/skidsteer model overlap.
