Now that the hydraulics are up and working, I have to get some bad fuel removed. I have a 12v transfer pump that should do the trick, but the 1" hose will not make it all the way to into the tank through the dill neck. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

What about a reducer hose? 1 inch to 1/4"?
Also, might be a plug to drain. But a major pain from what i'm told.

Thanks, Todd. I have heard that as well. I wish I'd have realized I needed to tackle the fuel issue before I put the hydraulic fluid tank back in and filled it. I would have pulled the suction line and replaced it and the strainer as well. The hose reduction I hope to tackle tomorrow. Just checking to make sure I'm not missing something. Thanks again!

Good luck and please update us!
I have a 99' 863F....Love Love it!!

Well, still could not get a hose onto the tank. But what goes in, must come out somewhere, right? 😎

Only thing with this is that what ever is below the strainer is not being removed. The color coming out the first minute or two definitely looked to be mostly water.

Well...started up, sounded great, drove off apx 30 yds, turned around to go back to shed and died. I'm just at a loss...fuel pump was new in '22, new fuel filter last week, put in 10 gallons of fresh fuel...just lost.

Fuel pick up broken? Seems like a common problem.
When it stalled out did you check the fuel bulb hose. Was it solid? Sucked in?
The bulb can tell a lot.
Can you run a "Portable" can and hook up to fuel pump? That is how a lot get skid steers running and moving. It would tell you if the "Tank" is the problem.
Also check new fuel filter, any water to drain or none?
Good Luck!

I used to keep one of these in my service truck to use as a vacuum hose to get trash and water out of the bottom of a fuel tank, you shake it up and down to get it started siphoning I did have to buy a longer hose and park the machine on a mound of dirt to get a tank cleaned once, in the shop I just put the unit up high on Jack stands, it is 3/4 od about $16 on Amazon, just Google fuel siphon and you should find it.

Thanks, Ward. I actually tried a 1/2" hose and cannot get it all the way into the tank, as many attempts that I tried. I even put a point on the end of the hose...it still did not make it all tge way into the tank. I cannot see why and I'm honestly hoping that I don't have to pull the hydraulic oil tank again and start pulling new lines...just frustrating....

You could be hitting the fuel sending unit, also you may be able to pull the fuel sending unit and get a new gasket when you put it back, going through the fill tube is best as we don't want to create new problems but sometimes we have to.
