863H Starter/solonoid sticks? Clicks away

Bobcat 863H, when I turn the key sometimes all I get is the clicking sound of what I guess is the solenoid. Turn the key off and on however many times until the starter engages and does its thing.

The Thieves @ Bobcat Repair say I need an entire new starter – OUCH! Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Just a solinoid should cure it, but of corse the rest of the starter may be getting worn to. But if the starter sounds ok when cranking the motor I'd be temped to throw a solinoid on it. Most starter repair shops can fix these. Bobcat is often more $$$$$.
