843B Can’t Get Fuel Primed

I've got an 843B with Isuzu diesel motor. The pickup tube in the tank rotted off and sucked up a bunch of air. Got that replaced and put a fresh filter on as well as a new priming bulb. I got the fuel filter and bowl filled up. Cracked the bleed screw on the injector pump but can't get fuel out of it. The priming bulb is full and hard but not a drop out of the bleed screw on the pump.

Any ideas / suggestions ??
