Ok, my first BC is busting my stones already. Got a good deal, got it delivered, want to clean up and do filters etc. Went to back into garage, since its cold out here, and work on in a more realistic environment. Cage is a couple inches too high for pulling into my garage. Can the cage come off and still drive the machine without anything complicated? I am sure the ROPS is heavy, but would be work getting some helo if it is drivable without it. Thanks for helping the new guys, Trender

Probably easier to remove tires and roll it into the garage on floor jacks or dollies...
If you can't roll it due to dirt floor, then dig down the floor and drive in.

We had a farm tractor that was a couple inches too tall to fit in the shop. We let air out of the tires until it would fit and then drove it in.

I think bobcat sells a ignition harness for techs wanting to run machine with a cab up, you could remove cab, disconnect harness, hook up test harness, sit on a board or something and drive it in.

If you only lack 2 inches of clearance letting air out of the tires would probably be easiest. If you need to lift the ROPS then you'll have to pull it off and use the testing harness Mike was speaking of.

After removing everything on top of my cab, my 843 clears my garage door by about 1/2"!! It's nice to be able to drive it in and out but once in the garage, you can't swing up the cab so you any work under the seat still has to be done outside. Be careful deflating the tires. I did it once and broke the bead on one tire. Spent the next 3 days trying to get the bead to reseat and not leak.
