Hi, When driving my 825 in a staright line forwards, after a few seconds, the right hand transmission slows compared to the left. The transmission light will come on for about 5 secs, then the transmission will surge and work again for a few seconds before cutting out again. It only does this in forwards when using both levers. Any ideas?

If the charge pressure light is coming on it sounds like you have low charge pressure. It could be as simple as something stuck in your relief valve that sets the charge pressure on the pump or it could be a weak hydraulic pump as its also used to provide charge pressure to your piston pumps.
I don't know if you machine has a hidden suction line filter or not, it could cause the problems you speak of.

I noticed today that it is leaking oil under the right side. Would a oil leak and loss of preasure cause this to happen?

If it was a major leak it would, but usually small leaks don't unless its allowing air in that can cause cavetation in the pump but i seriously doubt that is the reason.
It could be as simple as bad seals in the drive motor.

Thank You. I thought that I was the owner of the last 825 on earth! Now I know that there are at least two of us hardy souls left. Mine acted funny going forward until the right side finally failed, tilting the cab and removing the cover over the hydraulics revealed that one of the tie rod end ball fittings was eaten through, and it eventually fell right off, leaving me with a skid steer that only turned left. After my expert repairs (only had to reopen it up three times,) I now travel in large ellipses, I have to open it up again to get a little more range out of the right side. But I learned something, so I don't mind. Good Luck with your fine machine, I'm just glad to listen to that little diesel sit and idle, and dream of the glory days when she was new and diesel fuel was 69 cents a gallon. Jerry

Does anyone know the part number of the internal hydraulic filter in the 825? It would be handy to buy one before opening it up. Thanks
