New to the forum, hope someone can help. My 763G won't start. It's got the theft proof computer start. After entering code number, allowing glow plug to work, then all I get is a "click" when I push the start button. Battery is good and there are 12 volts at the starter. If the controller is bad, can a novice replace it and are there sources other than the dealer for a new one? Thanks, Al.

If your getting a click at the starter I'd say the controller is good. First thing to check is that the battery and ground connections are clean. Then perform the tests on the starter on the page below.

Definitely sounds like a loose or dirty connection at the battery to me.
