Hey folks, I'm new to the forum so I'm going to apologize upfront for any "ignorant" questions or statements. Seems my 761F, I believe it's a '99 model (square headlights) is pitching a little fit. After having loaded several logs yesterday, I got in it after lunch to load a another log on the saw mill with the grapple bucket. Low and behold….no bucket or lift arm hydraulics. The brake does release and allows me to move the machine and the auxilliary-grapple hydraulics work fine. I can hear the pump working to move the bucket and lift arms, but very little to no result. They both will try to move an inch or 2, but no more. Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a ton!!

I had the same problem with our 773 - Check your fuses. The fuse that we had go bad looked good, but had a barely noticeable crack in it and would not pass current.

Lift your cab up. Unplug the TWO electric solenoids on the loader valve on the right side of the machine (while sitting in the machine), then try to use it again. If it is now working good, then you have an electrical issue applying power to one (or both) of those solenoids. If that is the case, you will lose the lift & tilt function. Give that a try, let us know if you re-gain those functions.

Look at the BICS box behind your right arm. What are the LEDS doing?. All should be on when everything is enabled. Any blinking? If blinking count the blinks, that's a code. This is the first step.

OK, so I haven't had a chance to go through the fuses but I did disconnect the harnesses to the pump solenoids. That allowed the tilt and lift cylinders to work. The BICS system shows four of the 5 lights on. The one that is not constantly on is the valve light for the tilt and lift cylinders. It flashes 3 times and then goes off for a few seconds. Any idea on what should be checked from here? Many thanks

IIRC, 3 flashes means a short to ground.

WHat do you mean by the BICS solenoid?
Dirtpig538: There is a solenoid that sits on the side of the control block or it's hooked to the control block with a few small hoses. This solenoid locks the lift/tilt to keep the operator safe.

I don't see anything like that on mine. It has the 2 solenoids on top, but I don't see another one on the side.
