753 Oil Pan Orientation

Hi All, on a 753 machine (508613xxx), the oil pan is typically shown on the Parts Diagram with the middle drain port facing forward and the side drain port facing off of the right side (from rear of machine facing forward) of the engine. My pan was installed in that orientation. I have a new pan arriving today (leak issues with old one) and will be putting things back together. My question is: Are there any reasons why the pan cannot be re-oriented 180 degrees such that the middle drain port comes off the back of the engine vs. being hidden and unusable on the front of the engine? From everything I can see, the pan appears to be symmetrical. Having the middle drain out the back may allow me to simply use it for oil changes and eliminate the little drain hose off the side of the pan (and potential issues with it). Thoughts? Thx, Dale M
