I just bought a 753 and have put on maybe 6 hours. I wanted to fill the fuel tank to the top, and did. A couple hours of work later and the engine got balky, as if it were running out of fuel. I filled it with around 4 gallons and it ran well again. I rather doubt I have a 4 gallon tank, but is this possible? I thought this machine held around 14 gallons. Do I have a filter problem? Hope to hear from you, thanks

Your pickup tube is broken or cracked, its not the easiest thing to access but it can be done. Lift the cab, behind the pump you can feel 2 hoses running into the fuel tank (under the engine) one is a return line one is your fuel pickup tube. You will need to pry the rubber gromet out of the tank, not easy with limited room You will need to work out which one is the pickup and remove it and replace the tube as it will most likley be cracked or even broken off.
