Learning my "new" 743B. I'm replacing the fuel filter and the Wix came with 3 gaskets. I know one is for the glass bowl to filter and another is the recessed gasket in the filter housing. Where does the other one go?

I made that decision and am in the process. I'm waiting on a couple of parts the dealer had to order. I'll be in to it for about $190. That includes a backup filter cartridge. Prices are crazy. The elbow O-ring barb fittings are $18 each.

Edit - The filter type switch totals about $135. The other $55 is for the knurled bleeder valve on the injection pump.

Cool. Another upgrade I did on the 743 was to put the round sight glass and bead hydraulic tank level indicator.….like on my 873. I had the hydr tank out for cleaning and had a radiator shop braze in a brass fitting to accommodate the bobcat sight glass piece. Originally mine had only the two 1/8 inch pipe plugs .

I don't know if it's an upgrade included with the "B" model or someone did later but mine has the sight glass. What do you mean "bead hydraulic tank level indicator"?

See the image in my previous reply. See the bead that floats within the sight glass? Bead floats in hydr fluid and the bead should be dead center in the round glass window, when full.

I see the bead in your now, missed it upon first glance.

Mine doesn't have a bead? I would think the sight glass was built so that it couldn't drift out the back.
