I picked this ol' 743 up the other day.
I have NO power at the switch, but it runs great if you start it by jumping across the solenoid. I have searched and it seems that there is a common problem with a connector corroding and causing problems. Is the connector everyone refers to the plug right behind your back, before the harness goes under, into the engine compartment?
Anybody got any pics of said connector?
Thanks in advance, this sight is awesome!

older 743 used two 10 pin connectors located (when sitting in seat) by youre left hand if you were toreach behind you. every time you raised cab they had to be dissconnected (often forgotten and breaking wires) you can micky mouse aroun them, but years of trouble ahead be pro active go to any parts place and purchase new. proper crimp and shrink paramount invest in the right tools for wiring, not that 2dollar wallmart special, cant just smash needs crimped ,
