743 Auxiliary Hydraulics

I bought an older 743 Bobcat. I wanted to use a grapple on it. It doesn't seem to have the controls to operate a grapple, only steady flowing hydraulic power. Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a fix for it?

I believe that your right hand control ,controls your remote , I can not remember if you you push the lever further to the right or left to engage the remote. A quick web search should clearify this.

Yes, you push to the right to engage the hydraulics, but then how do I open and close the grapple?

The right hand lever on mine does not move to the left at all.

They originally came with a locking bolt that locked the right handle so it would not move into the auxiliary position. have you made sure that has been removed? If so, it could be worn linkage or a sticking valve.

The bolt is out. It locks into detent position fine. Just won't move to the left to operate the grapple the opposite way.

Got it working. Adjusted the rod so it pulled more to the left!!!!
