I am looking at trying to find a grapple to fit my 743. I am confused about what type mount that will fit. I know I have to watch the flow rate , but when looking for attachments what type plate does the equipment have to have?
Thank you

Just about anything that says "skid steer". Officially your machine has "Bobtach". It is nearly 100% ubiquitous, at least in the US. Not sure where you're from. Honestly though, in any catalog I've seen, that's what 99% of attachments are.

Unless your taking about adding a grapple up your existing bucket... Then most of them I've seen are "universal", meaning you weld them on.

you will not have to concerned about flow rate for a grapple. there is some kits out there that you can add to your bucket, The one that I have did was just drilling and bolt on (I believe 8 holes). They are adjustable for width within each manf. stated limits.

Just about any SSQA grapple will work, just be mindful of weight, to lightweight and you'll tear it up, too heavy and you'll limit your handling capacity.

One other point to consider, look for hydraulic hose location on the grapple to prevent pinch between the bobtach and the left boom arm. Very ease for hoses to drop in there…tilt back …then crush. I had to buy a hydraulic hose holder springy thing to attach to the grapple to keep the hoses out of the pinch area.

Can you post a pic of this set-up please? I always worry about this.
Thx

Here are 2 pics of the hydr hose keeper on a auger and a grapple. You mount the hose keeper wherever you feel you need it to keep dem buggers out of the pinch area.

Here is a video to the one that I like to use:

They are still cheap enough that it is cheaper to buy them then to make them.

And here is a link as to where you can buy them:

Here's what I've gone with after looking at various springs. It is a spring to hold the air hoses between a semi-tractor and trailer. Only thing I had to do was add an eye bolt to the top left side of cab for the carabiner to hook into when using it. So far works great for me as it keeps hoses up and I can still open the door and get in and out. Just a thought of what I use.
