Ok to start I had fuel delivery problem machine wouldn't start. So I replaced everything from the pickup tune to the carb. New limes, new filters, deleted fuel shut off, installed Holley electric fuel pump 3-7 psi I believe, had the carb rebuilt. I got it to start but it won't run over a rough idle at full throttle. Throttle is unresponsive (linkage is fine and working) if idle all the way down it will die. Choke makes zero difference. Checked air intake system. Shot it with starting fluid while running no rpm spike. I'm lost d*mn Ford motors...

Dont forget ignition. I chased one of these till I was blue in the face, thinking it was a fuel problem and ended up being a bad ignition coil. Check the distributor cap, rotor, wires, coil, points and condenser. If in doubt, replace them and consider it maintenance. The one I had would throw a good spark cranking, but would'nt keep up when it was running under load.

Forgot spark plugs, ignition timing and firing order.
