I have a 720 Bobcat that makes a very loud whining noise when moving forward, backward, right or left. So loud I have to wear ear plugs. Is this normal or is something wrong? This only happens when moving. Thanks, Brent

No, I haven't changed the 25 micron lower filter. Do you think that's the problem? Also need to add that it almost kills the engine when trying to turn.

Does this have the smaller filter on the square block as I have read in other posts?

i believe so. even some of the earlier 40s series had them so i'm sure yours does and it could very well be it.
I looked thru the 720 service and parts manuals, I saw no mention of a case drain filter anywhere. But some of the early documentation is a little lacking sometimes and it could have one. The 73X series has one. Look for a large aluminum block on the hydrostatic pumps.
