I bought a 642 with a kolher motor it runs good but the skid steer bucks easily the kohler motor from what I find is 200lbs lighter than the pinto motor. Should I add weight to the back to smooth out this skid steer and what is the best way to add the weight Thank you for your advice

nice smaller machine, on our 743 I added weight to the outside of the rear door, have a lead plate 1 1/2 inch thich 12 inches tall full width of the flat on the door, we cast the block from scrap lead wheel weights and water pipes some years ago, scrap yards have lead though its way more expensive these days

you could also use steel plates, another option tractor weights of fill the rear tires.

Have to ask, how do you like the kholer motor? I always keep that motor in mind if Blow up my kent ford motor in my 642 .
Adding weight shouldn't be to hard. I have seen guy buy old weight sets and weld rods to the back to add weight. I like jacks idea of melting lead down.
