642 hydraulic reservoir site glass cloudy

Just got this bobcat and had tilt cylinder repaired, installed the cylinder. checked the site glass and it was low so i added Harvest King Trans-Hydraulic oil to top it off. ran the loader to get all air out of system. when i checked the site glass it looked very cloudy. I let it set for an hour then the site glass looked fine. I was wandering if this is normal. If not what should i do to flush it out, Thanks in advance.

was it cloudy with fine air bubbles or sediment? I would pull some oil out in a small bottle then run it and re sample, compare both and see if anything settles at the bottom, seen this when air get in the system but it settles over time water also does this and the water will seperate out when sitting

I started the machine let it run for 5 min checked the class, level was towards the bottom and no foam. I did add a new grapple fork to the system, I ran the hydraulics a few times checked the glass and it was foam. So i did the test took about 3oz samples before and after and could not see any water or sediment. 20 min after setting glass was clear, so I'm guessing it is air.

you have air in the system, there should be a process to get the air out in the service manual, any cylinder should be used full travel and slow, low rpm of motor and cylinders full stroke

If it continues to look like it is foam, then I would check the hose at the hydraulic tank and the pump as air can get sucked in to the hydraulic system, air tends to move easier than oil, air in the system will lead to shorten the hydrostatic pumps life.
The hydraulic system return runs under a low return pressure, also a with a line leading to the hydrostatic pumps known as a makeup line, which replaces the loss oil in the drive system, as all hydrostatic pumps and motors have a minor amount of internal leaking inside their cases with a small hydraulic line leading back to the hydraulic tank the line is referred to as a (case drain), if the air getting into the hydraulic system is bad enough the when driving the unit it will make noise and sometimes you can feel it in the handles when driving the unit.
