I spoke to a man who told me that on the top of my pumps on the very center is a plug, he told me that under this plug there should be a spring and a popett. I removed my plug abc nothing was beneath it. I have very little power to my wheels, he seems to think that this pretty isn't allowing pressure to build up. On every part diagram I can find it only shows the plug. Is he crazy or could it be that simple. He said he would use the parts from a 642b to fix it. Please give me guidance.

Is it only drive power you have lost?
It may have the pump setup i have in my head, there is a hidden filter in the port block. A square block on the hydraulic pump. 3 hoses on the left, you want to remove the fitting on the moddle one, there is a spring and bornze filter. Not many people know about it and it gets neglected. They fill up and you have little drive power and the pump screams.

I have already replaced the port block filter. And yes I have enough power to back the machine out of my , but not enough to turn. The guy I mentioned above said the spring he was talking about was colored, and different colors signified different pressures?

Hmmmmm. that sounds like he is talking about the charge pressure relief. If you get a 200 PSI pressure gauge and install it in place of your charge pressure sender. Start the machine and see what you get, it should be 90-120 PSI from memory.
Pump and motor wear can cause these issuues too, low drive power. Under no load the wheels will move, but when loaded up like turning, they find it hard.

Look in the book but I remember changing a spring loaded relief on the engine side of the port block on the 632. The springs seem to get tired after about 30 years anyhow it did help the charge pressure.
