Greetings, I just got finished with the R&R of the 3 control valves on my 610. I began to fill the hyd and noticed the left front axle leaking hyd oil (bad). I think I am in need of the axle seal replacement. I searched the skid steer site on axle seals and came up with nothing. Are there any of you guys out there who have any information on getting the axle apart and if so are there any shortcuts on the job. I may have to change out the bearings as well. I was thinking of taking it to a BobCat shop. Then I regained my senses. I wonder what the shop time is for the seal/bearing change? Is there anyone on the site who sells Bob Cat parts?? Have Fun, buckshot

www.loaderpartssource.com, You will have to call because I know the axle kits are not yet sellable, but this has been a project that they have been working on. They may be able to help you some. Next best idea is to dig right in and look at actual part numbers on the seal and bearings. Its not the hardest job, but not the easiest either. You will at one point need about four hands, two in the machine and two outside. I have never done this before so I don't know exactly when that is required.

It has been about 3 years ago now but when I replaced the seal on a front axle on the 610 I found the seal to be cheaper at Bobcat and a better seal than the one available from Napa. Was not a bad job to do just time consuming. Minimal loss of blood and skin.
