P pondfishr Well-known member Joined Oct 11, 2005 Messages 216 Jul 10, 2008 #3 15w/40 motor oil or something similar. The Chain Case offers lubrication for the drive chains only.

Click to expand... Yep, motor oil! Gear oil isn't required as the bearings, chains and sprockets only rotate at low speeds, special lubrication isn't an issue.
