Anyone know of a shop that can work on the new tier 4 injector pumps. Cat seems to even out source the pump rebuilds. They offer a rebuilt one but have none in stock. Feal free to shoot out some ideas. Thanks

Have you tried a few diesel injector places? surely one would have the know how to work on them?

I like my cat but this deal tested my faith a bit. I called 6 shops I have used or referred to. And not one was able to work on, or get parts for the new tier 4 pumps. Cat dont work on them cause its not a cat engine ,but as luck would have it for 3,200 smackers a brand new ones the only option. The works been done, they tell me it runs havent picked it up yet. And for the icing on the cake it only has a 5,800 dollar tag hooked on it. Im not sure, but i might be pregnant!

And my rant goes on. Went and picked up the loader today, and i ran it around there yard all seemed well. Brought it home which is 240 miles from where it was fixed. Pushing that white stuff around just to try it out. When it gets warm it smokes and falters, when its not under a load. Someones gonna get a ear full Monday. I'm thinking or hoping its just alittle out of time.Any other thoughts. Other than i got it big time.

You aren't having any luck at all..... I think you have done it all, walked past a black cat, walked under a ladder plus whatever else.
I sure hope they come up with an answer, and they should send someone out to do the adjustment at your palce too, if that indeed is the issue.

Ouch! Can you out a mechanical injected engine in it?, or park it in a flamable area.

Well hopefully this is the end to this thread. The fuel pumps the right one they say. And its probably just out of time. They would like me to pay to put it in time and ill go after the other cat dealer for reimbursement. Yea i must have stupid just all over me. And would ya believe the salesman of all people grabbed ahold of it and took care of them. That kinda shocked me a bit. But mind you it has been broke down since Dec 14th. If i wouldn't have had other machines to cover that could damn near put ya out of business. Well so much for cats cost more, but ya don't have much down time. Gonna remind them when we deal in the future. But have a fealin it ain't gonna help. And thanks for the ideas guys just a super site for all things skid steer. And i hear a road flare in the fuel tank fixes just about any problem!

Glad to hear you got some progress, still, it should have been done right first time round!
I do like the flare idea :) there are days we all feel like doing that.
