Got a 2012 259B3. Left joystick (track control) has some play in it. With the boot removed, there is visible space between the lower plate on the joystick assembly and the valves. Doesn't look like it's adjustable. Wondering if there's a serviceable part (u-joint?) or if I have to replace the whole assembly. Considering shimming the plate that depresses the valves with a piece of sheet metal to take the slop out of it...

Yes u joint is replaceable. And there are shims under it You unscrew handle and stick Allen wrech in where handle unscrewed and remove u joint It also holds in plungers in so be careful

Might be pushing my luck, but you don't happen to know what the part number is, do you? CAT parts department tells me I have to replace the whole assembly.
