First off, I'm a woman, I am not a mechanic so if I say something stupid please know I'm doing my best lol.
I work the tracksteer and do general maintenance, change Tracks rebuild hydrolics ext but that's the extent of my experience. There is my disclaimer lol
Moving forward, I parked the skid in the fall and wasn't thinking but it was slightly down hill. I go to use it about a month ago and it will start, the bucket will move and arms lift. The parking brake will turn off when I push the button. However when I try to move it acts like the brake is still on. The fluids are all good. I used the bucket to move the skid backwards to release pressure from the brake and it still didn't help. Can anyone give me any advice on what it may be and how to fix it?

I'd start with the basic and simple things, have you checked all your fuses?

is there a seat safety switch? , maybe under the seat , I am not sure what your model machine has or doesn;t
but many skid steers have pressure type switches under seats that when they go bad prevent machine from moving and or lifting bucket/boom
same will be if it has a seat belt safety switch
and lastly, some skid steers have two fuse boxes, so, double check that you have checked all ffuses/boxes!

Thank you! Yes, we checked both fuse boxes. I'm going up there now to double check all that again and try to pull it backwards with a tractor and see if it releases any pressure. It has a seat belt switch. The bucket/boom does move but not the skid. I may replace the toggle just in case. I'll update if any of it works.

Check your break solinoid.

Rechecked fluids, seat belt toggle switch is good, wires are all in tack and fuses are all good. We tried to pull it backwards with a tractor but it wouldn't budge.

odds are you will not be able to tow it unless you have a much larger heavier machine to try and drag it,. and i doubt its going to solve your issue!
on older machines before joy stick controls, one could many times push the control levers in direction you want to tow and that would allow things to turn sort of freely

but on modern machines that is no longer an option, now it comes down to brute strength to move a dead skid steer/tracked loader!
something you can maybe try is, disconnection the battery for a few hours, some times the computer will reset, once power is fully out of system,, it takes a good hr or more on most machines!

Mine don't have joy sticks it's older and has the control levers. I will definitely try the battery. We unhooked it for a few minutes but not a few hours so it's worth another try. Someone mentioned the brake solenoid. Do you know how to access that?

i if it has hand foot controls , it might allow you to tow it, by again pushing levers in direction your trying to tow it in

as for how to access the brake solenoid, I would guess its near the brakes

but every machine things can be where ever a engineer felt he liked them, not always in places designed for easy access for repairs, seems engineers and techs, never collaborate on building things ,
I would highly suggest maybe getting yourself a service manual
either in a free download or an actual paper copy, some times used ones can be found on ebay or like places

you can also start a post here asking for someone to help you get a free download one, or can try doing a online search for one!

Thank you! I really appreciate you taking the time to give advice! I have contacted a mechanic but he's a couple weeks out. So I'll keep trying in the mean time and hopefully figure something out. Again thank you all for all your help!!!

What type of machine is it.
I'm in a similar boat to you where I'm not a mechanic but I had the same issue with a pt30 I had a while ago. There is a pilot gear into a plastic plate that had demolished itself. It is between the hydraulic pumps and the engine. If you find a parts diagram it's easier to understand.

Does it have tracks on it now? What is the temp. at that is sat for weeks? If cold weather is it possible that the tracks are frozen to the ground or just the tracks themselves frozen. I have seen things like that but mainly on bulldozers. When you try to operate forward or reverse can you feel it try to pull in either direction. This break lever you mention is that electric engagement or? I know lots of questions. BTW you me lady have more experience than some operators so you are good. Try to rethink when you parked it. What did you do? Apply the brake? I am not sure how that break lock works but it could be that switch or engagement that is bad or again frozen so it cannot release. Hard to say. Got a picture of it?

One more thing on this if you parked down hill and applied the break. left it sit. Is it possible that the downhill force of the unit is holding the brake in lock position? Releasing with a button to disengage that lock may not work unless someone pulls in the up hill path and another hits that button while doing that pull. Make sense? I am not sure but it maybe worth some rocking it back and forth.

I have a 2010 L175 and had a similar problem where I usually have the front glass door bypassed with the dummy plug. During plowing I reconnected it to use the windshield wiper and the skidsteer ran but wouldn't move. I removed the front door connector and reconnected the bypass plug and it worked - except no wiper.

Maybe check that interlock/safety plug

...and be a bit careful to pull/push the machine around with brute force too far as eventually something will snap. See if the hydrostatic motors for your wheels are still connected by their hoses (hose<->motor<->hose) the hydraulic oil has no where to escape if the pumps/motors are shut down. Forcing the wheels to spin this way will definitely stress the chains that might break. Maybe try to disconnect and plug all four hoses but keep the 2 x connectors on each motor open before pulling the machine around.

Hi I had a bobcat 753 that whilst working the hydraulics would lock momentarily and I couldn't move but it did release itself, it was the park brake switch, it was going bad and activating the park brake, a new switch fixed it, good luck

It's a C175 2013

Yes it has tracks on it now. It sat over winter but it's in the 60s now so it's not frozen.
The parking brake is an electric push button that releases, it not an actual lever.
Yes when I move the levers to move forward or backwards it sounds like its trying to move but nothing happens. We did try to pull it backwards with a tractor to get the pressure off the brake but it didn't budge an inch.
When I turn it off the parking brake automatically sets itself.
And thank you I appreciate the compliment. I admit I enjoy working them way more than working on them though lol.
