Machine now has 50 hrs on it. Unfortunate for me I have to store the machine outside since barn burnt down. I noticed the other day when using that the hydraulics were really whining under me when RPM's were at idle. The noise will disappear when throttled up. However, I noticed the bucket was doing some "cavitating" during operation now, with 50 hrs? I looked at the hydraulic resovoir and the level was about 6 inches over the mark? I really couldn't tell you if it came from the dealer this way or not. My first thought when I took off the hydraulic resovoir cap was that, is it possible for rain/water to get throught his cap as it is a filter style cap? What's the best way to check for water in hydraulics since the water settled to the b ottom of the resovoir? and how do you completely flush the water out and what harm may have been caused at this point? Thanks.

If water is in the oil, it will have turned milky.
I am going to pull a sample out with a pump ASAP. If it's not milky and no indication of water, I want to try and rule out that their is some type of valve frozen shut or something causing the hydraulic level to rise in the resovoir? Also, is there any harm in fluid being higher than the level mark on the bottle? Thanks.

Provided there is no water contamination, being over full will likely only result in oil leaking from the reservoir breather cap.
Sitting outside should normally not cause watter to get into anything. They are like a car, build to be used outdoors imo.
do note that shutting the engine down, then lower the boom with the engine off, or pehaps even drop the boom real fast may not allow the pump to fill the down pressure side of the hydraulic cylinders quickly enough and could result is a high hydraulic level.
I would connect a hose to the front couplers and pump some out and look at it or send a sample for analysis. The whine is defintely something that was not present b4?

Ken, Thnaks for the feedback. You would be correct in that the whine wasn't there before. Again, it is at low RPM (idle) and it sounds like it is coming from the Husko Head (valve port) area. When the RPM's are wound up, it does cease. Could this be a sign of a port being stuck open or something of this nature. Or, is this just the nature of the NH beast once they have been used some? Thanks again.
