Happened to find this site while searching for answers to what might be causing my problem. So thought I would see if anyone knew what might cause a machine to run perfect for awhile and then just all of a sudden not move, the bucket and boom work fine but it will not move. At first thought it might have to do with the seat or seat belt sensor , but today I would turn it off leave it alone for awhile get back on it and it would run fine for 10 to 30 minutes and quit moving again. Then later in the day it would run and start jerking some before it quit moving. Any information or tips on what to check would be greatly appreciated!

If you do not have a warning light coming on indicating low charge pressure I would suspect the parking brake solenoid valve as the problem. There is a post a few positions lower than yours on the forum about an L185 parking brake not releasing. The way the system works is the charge pump builds pressure on one side of the brake solenoid valve, when you sit in the seat and fasten your seat belt and press the enable button the valve opens and sends oil to the brakes to release them and to the hydros so they can move.

Yeah there are no lights coming on, so thank you very much I will check that out!

My father’s 06 L185 did the same thing. There was a short in a wire in the roof going to the panel. I too, thought it was a short in the seatbelt.
