Looking at purchasing a 2006 Deere 328 with electric controls, approx 550hrs. Seems to be a good machine. At start up, runs a little rough for a few seconds then clears out. Machine operates good. They are asking $23500. Would this be a good deal? Any major issues to watch out for? Main usage would be moving hay bales, light dirt work, tree pulling. Thanks!

well the hours are low enough, but how many times has it been serviced since new, one should have been done around 50 hours, so to me it is due now cause of years. price seems a little high unless it has all the goodies ,a/c cab, back up camera, radio,is it high flow? other attachments? good luck it is tuff to specuilate over net.

The current owner purchased it a few years back around 275-300hrs. I know he has serviced oil/fuel filters at least twice since he has owned it. Has enclosed heat/ac cab, radio, no back up camera, standard flow outputs, 2spd, just a toothed bucket comes with it. I have used this unit personally before, now he's looking to upgrade to a track machine.

well there is a advantage on geting a machine of that age and that is the lack of emmissions junk on the engine. And if you have some history with this machine and see no issues with it before and you know some of the maintence history that is worth something in it self. so you got to go with your gut.

I would not be afraid of it. I have a 2007 CT322. I am the fourth owner using it on a farm. It surprises me with what it will do. Well built and easier to work on than the newer ones. Parts availability is starting to be an issue. No emissions is a big plus. Add a grapple and set of forks to your shopping list and you will be set. Just be warned, it is construction equipment and repairs come with high price tags, even when you do the work. Nothing cheap about them.

Well I got the machine purchased for much less than he originally was asking.

Is there a way to clear stored error codes in the cab screen? It has a few stored, no active. Would like to clear them and start fresh to see what comes back.

Thanks!

might be worth saving the codes, so, that if down the road you get therm again, you would know it happened before and dig deeper into a fix again!
either write them down and save or leave as is! would be my 2 cents!

Yep I have pictures of each one.
