Hello, first post here. I just picked up a 763 in fantastic shape, but couldn’t test the AUX controls where I bought it and the old fella had no idea about the aux functions and any of the controls. I’ve tried to YouTube it and do some quick research but I have absolutely no spare time, so before somebody says “do a search”, I don’t have the time.. So I just put a woodchipper on it and can’t get it going, it spins freely and I keep trying and the buttons and can’t figure out how to get er going. If anyone has a manual on what the buttons do I would greatly appreciate it!

There's not many 763's with a joystick control. Anyway you need to start the aux hydro with a button on the upper/right-hand side of the cab, near the key. Press that button once, maybe twice to engage the hydraulics. From there, there should be a trigger on the right joystick that should start the attachment. The thumb paddle on the right joystick will control the direction of the hydro flow. By default the direction may be correct, if not just flip the paddle switch to the left and the flow direction will reverse. Everything should work off of the right-hand joystick despite the left joystick having switches also.

Thanks for the reply, So on this one the key and trac lock are on the left hand cab pillar, on the right is a aux button with two settings. Press it once and there’s one light press it twice and there’s two. The thing of it is, what are all those other buttons? It was making the lines jump with the chipper on but it wouldn’t spin so I just pressed em all.. then I shut it off pulled the the chunk of wood out that was stuck in there out and now it won’t even make the lines kick no matter what buttons I press. At one point it spun enough to blow a bunch of chips out that were in there from before. Thinking it going to end up being a mechanical problem at this point.

EDIT: can you see the pictures of the joysticks? Seems pretty complicated for something with two aux lines..

Ok, does your machine have a high-flow aux pump? If so the HF switch is near the key.
Whether it does or not then you still push the switch once on the right side to open the aux circuit which you can then operate something like like a 4 in 1 bucket by using the centre toggle switch on the right joystick.
To lock the circuit on for your chipper then push the upper switch again and now that circuit can be switched by using the rocker switch on the front of the right joystick as this is a momentary switch. Ever time you turn your Bob off and on you'll need to reset the upper button twice to be able to use the joystick rocker switch or once to use the toggle switch.

I have the same machine here in Australia, I’m guessing that yours may struggle to successfully run a chipper if it doesn’t have HF. My machine does, which means that there is an extra pump on the alternator/water pump end of the crankshaft and is added into the auxiliary circuit by pushing the button near the ignition switch. From memory the standard pump is around 56 lpm and the HF takes it to around 85-90 litres litres per minute (sorry, I don’t do prehistoric US gallons 🙄)
