I have a 753 Bobcat Skid Steer with a hydraulic hose leak. Ordered hose but while waiting for hose the hydraulic control value started leaking... I had the hydraulic control value rebuilt about a year ago. Do you think that it could be a seal or could it need to be rebuilt again or a new one.. It is not leaking in the same place that it was when it was rebuilt. It looks like it is leaking from the connector of a tube could it just be loose? Could this be caused from the leaking hose? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance..

On 753s, the hose ftom the pump the vavle is the most common hose to leak because it rubs on a half dozen things. If it looks like a fiffing is leaking, remove it and replace the oring, should solve your problem. 45 and 90 degree fittings like to come loosedue to side torque on them.

another common leak is the aux stub line (usually when running a breaker) about 3 inches long. #12 males on each end. unuasal for valve seals to fail quickly unless improperly installed if backwards will seal for a while but thats it (lip in) ambient temp change seems to have an effect as well. as to why i do not know but , first frost and first warm up get a rash of reseals.(buy the way if you want to save $ ) leave it in the unit can be done in field or shop in about three hrs, in shop unit gets cleaned field not so much, and can not be tested if you pull it youreself takes better part of eight to pull and replace, and cannot be tested untill installed, and do not forget lift spool plug and oring or you may be sad,

I checked the Hydraulic Control Value and found the leak coming from the boot on one of the spools. Going to order a seal kit for the spool. The kit comes with screw(1), a boot (1), and a seal(1). Do you think that I might need to order anything else? O-Ring, bushing, or retainers. Another question. Will I have to remove the Hydraulic Control Value from the machine to be able to repair the seal and boot on the spool. Thanks for any and all suggestions....

The seal kit should be all you need. You can do the job with the spool in place still. It's best to drain all the hydraulic oil you can before you start, it will pour out and make a mess no matter what, but you can try and reduce the mess a little.

Bobcat 753 has hydraulic fluid leak into the drive chain case. Any ideas where it would be coming from. Unable to track it.
thanks
