Thanks but I meant to say the engine canister oil filter. After closer examination I found that there is a tiny hole in the center tube about 1 1/2 inches down so I see how it circulates oil now. T
Anybody know how the oil filter (canister type) assembly is actually supposed to go back into the canister? I mean the spring, washer, gasket or gaskets. Also don’t really see how the filter works but must assume there are some holes in the center canister cap bolt pipe somewhere. My eyes aren’t...
The specs call for regular gas only. Just wondering if anyone is using premium non oxy in the old bobcats. Mine is a M600 with a Wisconsin VH4D. Thanks!
The lever behind the fuel pump is a optional primer pump on some engines. Takes 20 pumps to prime the pump never used mine as it pumps great. You should have 2-3 psi fuel pressure more than that will cause flooding. Book says after a while the spring in the pump can become weak and the pressure...
Thanks for the reply rodbuilder! That makes sense but I'm hoping it has something to do with the flooding problem I have had. The guy I bought this old 600 from said he put in a carb kit because it flooded so bad and changed the oil before he sold it to me. Since then I have pulled the carb...
My 600 has had a VH4D as a replacement engine at some point (no hour meter). I just found a schematic that shows the breather going from oil filler tube to the carb elbow with a solid cap on the oil filler. I thought it might have been a home made job but looks correct on this model. I was...
Here's a one I've never heard of before. Went to fire up the M-600 with the VH4D engine after using it yesterday. Cranked it no choke for 2 seconds and didn't fire up so choked it and she proceeded to blow out the dipstick and blew the oil filler cap clean off. Sounded like a firecracker lol...
