    Lift Cylinder Seals

Thanks for the replies, I do know that all the parts on the loader were original when I got it besides the alternator and battery. It was used lightly. The seals on the piston are likely good (the cylinders do not drift) but will likely replace them. Just the rod seal that is leaking. will do...

    Lift Cylinder Seals

I think the link listed is for this post? I did a search and found some simular data, it was for a tilt cylinder. I ordered the seal kit $16.80 for each cylinder, is that a half way good deal? Thanks.

    Lift Cylinder Seals

Hi, I have a 1993 743B with about 3800 hours. When sitting there is a bit of oil leaking out of the rod seal of the lift cylinders. I plan on getting seal kits from EPM, is there anything special for putting all the seals in or is it an easy job? Any special tools?

    Oil filter

HI, I use an NAPA Gold filter for the engine oil for my 1993 743B. I think they are made by Wix. The part # is 1068 for the napa one. I also use there hydraulic, air and fuel filters.

how many hours between oil changes is everyone running and what oil type?

You mean engine oil? I do the engine with Delvac 15W-40 every 75 hrs or so.

    753 value?

What are the hours on the machine, assuming the hour meter has been functioning>? Take it for a test drive and see how it starts with a cold engine, drive/lift with it. Sounds like a good deal. Also check for cracks/repairs/welds/and worn pins. Just my 2 cents.

It pays to surf the net......

Tazza, I also have a CUT-40, I purchased it for $400 shipped, so I think It was a good deal being new. I think it stated 3/8" clean cut and 1/2" sever cut, but mine might be a bit different than yours..works real good for the price. has 60% duty cycle which is good for a low priced unit I think.

    Bob-Tach side play

Got some washers from a farm store to fit in there, works great now. The one pin needed some heat to get it out but other than that it went fine. Yes, the right way would have been getting the bobcat part, but when you live in the sticks it would have cost $12 dollars to ship a 2 dollar washer...

    Bob-Tach side play

The OD of your washer was 1 3/4" that leaves about 1/4" of metal left going around. is this correct.

    Bob-Tach side play

So I should just put the washer between the dust cup and the arm? If I get an 1 1/4" washer I can just grind it down so it is not so visable.

    Bob-Tach side play

Sounds good guys. I will look into getting some washers. They will have to have pretty big holes in them to fit through the pins....I will maybe loook at Runnings Farm and Fleet for them. Its the only store we have like that.

    Bob-Tach side play

Hello again, I have a 1993 bobcat 743B. I noticed yesterday that I have side play in the bob-tach mount between the two lift arms. This is where there is one bolt on each side that attaches to the arms. I would say there is about 1/4-3/8" side play. I know the dust seals on both sides are shot...

    running temperature

Centurion, what letter in the word "NORMAL" on the temp gauge does the needle point at when it is 210 degrees F...? Just curious so I know on mine roughly. Seems like mine is around the "R" or "M" most of the time...The more I rev the engine the hotter it gets. I was looking in the service...

    743B alternator issues

The first year of production was 1991 for the 743B. Maybe yours is a 1991 if it shows it being a "B" model? Look for the large bolt on the outside of the wheel hubs. If it has it it is a 743B. Just an idea.

    Seal...how much?

Hi, I got the old seal out with a drill, vice grip, plyer and screw driver. Lubed up the new seal with grease and installed it to were I thought the old one was. Thanks for the help, couldn't do it otherwise!
