thanks for the reply. i was told later by someone else to turn the ignition on and use the aux controls to let off pressure. i am looking into needle valves to reduce the swing speed of the backhoe, which is a very old unit. it can be slow but takes a lot of concentration to keep slow.
i tried to relieve the pressure several ways for a long time by holding the key to the left immediately after shut off. still had trouble until i loosened the flange nut on the bobcat at the quick disconnect. i was wondering if there was a relay or something to relieve the pressure when the key...
thanks for the input, especially about the needle valve. would you put the needle valve on the main line to the attachment, or on the line that just swings the backhoe. if you put a valve on the main line to the attachment which line on the bobcat flows to the attachment the top or bottom...
i just got a davis backhoe ane posted some questions. http://www.skidsteerforum.com/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=54&frmView=ShowPost&PostID=14864 i saw you info about the needle valve and was wondering if 1/4" thread size is correct. wouldn't you want a valve to fit the hose attaching to the quick...
i got a older 773 wiith 400 hours on it from a farmer i know. real clean. anyhow i got a old, clean with new hoses, but working d100 case backhoe attachment. took me a long time to get the hydraulics to attach. the quick disconnect would not go on. i tried to turn key to left to drain off...
anyone used a backhoe attachment that will dig about 8' and operate from inside the cab? i have a 763 and want to dig around the farm. not professionally. also can someone reccommend some inexpensive tracks over the rubber tires? thanks
thanks for the reply, i have been working with a rented kubota b21 backhoe for planting trees and grading and was looking at getting a used kubota b21 or L35. i am working on slopes and hillsides some and was wondering if a skid steer would be better for the slopes? thanks
looking at new holland skid steer ls140 2005 for 13,000 usd. is this a good price. will this be too small for small grading and adding a small backhoe attachment? this is not for a business use but around a couple of houses i am building. planting and grading mostly. thanks
