753 cranks but will not start

UPDATE All of the rings are stuck to the pistons. All other parts are perfect, bore can be honed. What most likely caused the rings to carbon up so fast and stick to the rings? This looks to be a fairly new short block. thank you, Terry

753 cranks but will not start

UPDATE Removed the engine then head. It is real rough and dark colored on the upper 3/4 of the cyl. the lower 1/4 looks fairly normal. What caused this? Any ideas? thank you, Terry

    dusted cylinder

Can anyone try to explain me what a dusted cylinder looks like? I have a 753 that has less than 70psi on all 4 holes. When torn down the cylinders are rough and dark colored on the upper 3/4 of the cyl. the lower 1/4 looks like it should. Maybe not dusted but what caused this? thank you, Terry

    kubota L355 extended cranking

I have a L355 that has extended cranking on cold starts. Once it is started then it starts easily, but when the engine cools it is hard to start. During cranking it is smoking. The glow plug resistance, according to the manual is to be 1.5 ohms, they are about 1.2, 1.3 and they are getting power...

753 cranks but will not start

I have a update after all evening doing tests. On either it does not respond. I removed a injector and put it back in a line and watched the fuel spray out in a narrow fog pattern. Removed the valve cover and verified the valves are closing. Made an adapter to perform a compression test and here...

753 cranks but will not start

I bought it not running so I know little history of the machine. The intake hose was loose so I suspect that someone has used starting fluid on the machine. How likely is it that a rod could be bent? Are these prone to that? I have compression gauge but not for a diesel. I am working on that.

753 cranks but will not start

I am going to assume that this thing should fire on starting fluid or ether. Is one better than the other thank you,

753 cranks but will not start

the shut off solenoid works, it does spit fuel from the injector lines, and it appears to be diesel. what is next? it sucks hard on the inake against my hand. and there is no smoke when cranking it is cranking a little slow, not real slow though, as far as hearing compression it is a little...

753 cranks but will not start

yes it all makes sense I have been an auto tech for 20 years, just not much experience with bobcats. I like the way you put you can hear compression. I know what you mean. thank you,

753 cranks but will not start

is there any thing other than the shut down solenoid that could make it not start (electrical)? are these bad about the injector pumps going bad?

753 cranks but will not start

I am looking to purchase a 753 with 3600 hrs and it will crank but not start. I am looking for some help on maybe what to look for, maybe to tell how serious the problem might be before I purchase it. He is wanting 5200 for the machine, it is real clean and straight. thank you,
