Hello from Halifax, UK. Bobcat 443 hydraulic issues.

Hi Marv, Thanks for posting this, this is very helpful. I have a 443 diesel as well, I've made some posts here regarding my experience changing the bearings/chain case items. Please let me know if you ever need help with this! I'm afraid of replacing the gear pump some day, so your post is...

    443 wheel bearing issue

I had a drive motor fail about 1.5 years ago, while backing up a dirt hill. Pretty much stuck fixing it right there, just no movement on one side. Bought the seal kit from loadpartssource, I must have re-assembled it a dozen times trying to get it to work, but never did. Ended up buying a new...

    443 wheel bearing issue

Hah, I forgot about that part. I did mine 3 years ago and I think my ribs are still aching! I did mine outside and don't have a shop or any of the fancy accompanying tools, or I'd rather have removed the body from the chaincase, but it's possible to do with all major components still hooked up...

    443 wheel bearing issue

I've had my 443 for a couple of years now, replaced the bearings when I got it. I'll say this things rides so bouncy I have every confidence the oil is making it to the bearings. I also agree with Jerry for the most part. I'm not saying he's wrong, but I did the replacement without fabbing any...

    Bobcat 443 Wheel Bearing

Hello, Sorry I missed this. I have this bobcat and did all 4 wheel bearings 2 years ago. The 15/16 worked perfectly for me, although the wrench was too wide and I had to grind it down to fit between the two axle bolts. Did you solve your problem?

Hydraulic motor, no drive right hand side

Well Tazza (Thanks for all of your help in holding up this community BTW, its one of the only resources I have). If you want my speculation, it's quite similar to this (which you also helped on): http://www.skidsteerforum.com/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=54&frmView=ShowPost&PostID=42516 - my 443...

443B axle bearing and seal part numbers

Totally exhuming this from the past, but posting to give other googlers clarity. If you order the seal kit from bobcat, the kit comes with speedisleeves. I tired getting the same sleeve from napa and a few other places, and they wanted just about the same cost for just the sleeves as bobcat did...

Hydraulic motor, no drive right hand side

Just thought I'd write with an update. I replaced most things in the motor, including the seal kit. I followed the instructions in the service manual carefully, especially for timing. I also used the instructions in the eaton 2000 manual, which were the same but better descriptions and pics. I...

    443 adapter for attachments

Wow, we have almost the exact same story. I bought a 443 early this year for putting in several hundred feet of 3ft retaining wall and general landscaping. I also have the two buckets, 36" with teeth. We even paid about the same amount. Please find my post in this forum for how to replace...

Hydraulic motor, no drive right hand side

Hello, I posted previously about bearings, seals etc for my 443. I fixed it all and have put nearly 200 hours on the loader since. Recently, it failed just after reversing up a modest hill, with nothing in the bucket. The right hand wheels would not turn at all, only left worked. I diagnosed it...

    443 Axles, bearings, seals

Update: All finished! New bearings/races/seals in place. Not so hard to seat the seals because the speedisleeve has a flange that pulls in and seats the seal perfectly. Assembled it all with new glow plugs, fuel/hydro filters, oil all around and a new boot for the parking brake linkage, which is...

    443 Axles, bearings, seals

Thanks flyerdan, that's helpful. I may try to fashion something out of the old seals and perhaps some wood to accomplish it. The trouble will be in knowing the width of it, but I'll get something sorted.

    443 Axles, bearings, seals

There is one question though, the service manual says I need MEL1205 Seal tool and here is the picture from the manual. I do not understand why I need this tool, nor it's purpose. Is it to protect the seal from crushing while I am installing the axle? Is there a suggestion for what to do if I...

    443 Axles, bearings, seals

Thought I'd post an update: It turns out I wasn't skilled enough to separate/pull the bearing from the axle without damaging the sleeve on the remaining axles, so it turns out the question was moot - I do have to replace the sleeves. Fortunately, bobcat still has them as part of the "seal kit"...

    Glow plugs

If spark plugs are any guide, NGK makes the best IMO. I personally would only use NGK spark plugs in my vehicles, and definitely the same for the glow plugs in my new-to-me 443 with a Kubota D750.
