Which way to load a Case 1845C

I normally back my 1845C on to the trailer because you can lower and tilt the bucket downward to stop any front end dropping. The only thing I do not like about doing it this way is the tires barely clear between the raised fenders, and sometime I have to pull ahead and try again. I like driving...

    1845C Loader Arm Bushings

I was unable to figure out how to edit my above post. I was going to ask for the pin part number also. In looking at the Case parts site, it is listed somewhere under "Case Coupler" but they have several to choose from. I need the pin that has a metal tab welded to it. A bolt is then used to...

    1845C Loader Arm Bushings

Is there anyone here who has some measurements for the bushings at the end of the bucket arms where the quick attach plate is fastened. I would need the I.D, O.D., and the length. Also the pin diameter and length would be appreciated. I tried looking up the bushings at the Case Parts page, and...

    Starting Problems

The more I try to find out why my 1845C will not start most of the time, the more I come across posts that basically state that the reason for this is because of bad connections. I was earlier told by a member of this forum that the problem could also be related to a bad ignition switch. I...

    Synthetic Hydraulic Fluid

I am thinking about changing the hydraulic fluid in my Case 1845C and I am wondering if someone can tell me what brands of synthetic fluid they use, part numbers for a crossover/conversion, and anything else with their experiences with synthetic. I can get a discount on Mobil products through...

Starting an 1845C that has not been run in over a year

Goose, Thank you for the reply. My mistake ....I should have stated 1992........not 1982. I will have to see if I can edit that. Would it be a good idea to change the filter before we start since we will probably have to prime it anyways, or just leave it alone and not drain the system...

Starting an 1845C that has not been run in over a year

Thanks for the response, Other than turning the key to the on position and waiting a few seconds, how would a person go about making sure the fuel system was primed....thanks, Pat

Starting an 1845C that has not been run in over a year

Hi, My brother in-law wants me to take my trailer and go up North with him on 05-24-08 so he can look at, and probably purchase a Case 1845C that is the same year of manufacture as mine (1992). This unit has about 6800 hours on it, and has not been run in just over a year. I guess he can get a...

    Case 1840

Idunno, I really can not tell you too much about the information you are searching for. In my post I asked some of the same questions, but not all were answered. In regards to the chain case and the hydraulic tank being separated, I believe you are correct. I can't see how the two could be...

    1845C Questions

LGS and Ken, Thank you very much for the information. As far as the appearance of the loader, there are no weld repairs that I am aware of. The paint on the loader is still in pretty good shape. The paint on the engine leads me to believe that there has not been much if any repairs because most...

    1845C Questions

Hi, I am new here and hope I can find some answers to questions I have about my 1992 Case 1945C. The first question is about the starter. Can anyone tell me if the starter is repairable, or is a new one in order. It will not start all the time...kind of hit or miss. Sometimes when the key is...
