    Bobcat 742 water pump

We do need a page for parts company info and exchange. Bobcat is way too high on their prices for older machine parts.

    Bobcat 742/743

I'm in the boat of the constantly fixing mode on my 742B. If I would of known what I was buying (first time buyer) I may of made another choice but, I got a little excited and bought it for around 8500 . The machine ran great the first year, and was bought with 3 attachments. Two buckets, one...

    Throwing good money after bad

I have the engine out, cleaned everything and have it ready to put back together. But, I am having a terrible time finding a full rebuild kit for it. If you know who carries the kits it would be greatly appreciated.

This engine was made in the 70's ( I thought it may have come with the skid steer when they built it in 1993) but, I'm not to sure that was the...

    Camshaft

Yea, I finally found the gaskets which weren't to hard to find. But the rings, bearings and cam bearings were really tough to find. I finally found them at a company in california. But the oil pump is discontinued. I think I can find a water pump with out much trouble. I'm going to have the...

    Foot Pedals rusted solid

The easiest way to start is to spray the crap out of the swivel points on the foot pedal. Start there then if that doesn't work, take it apart. Work your way in. And spray the swivel points several times letting them soak for awhile in between.

    Camshaft

Hello Gurus I pulled the engine and tore it down. I'm looking at the cam bearings and they look ok. The #1 piston and the #4 Piston had broken rings. If you look at the cam shaft after pulling the pistons out, there are no scratches where the camshaft bearing sit inside of the rocker and ride...
