    Adapted Plow, need Hydo advice

Greetings, I had recently adapted an old meyer snow plow to my skidsteer. The plow was lacking the turning cylinders, to I installed new mounting tabs and installed a single cylinder from Tractor Supply. It works great for the most part, but the cylinder is overkill and moves WAY too fast. Is...

    RC50 loading big fire video

AAh. This is why I love internet forums. That video was me. While I wont go into what safety equipment and fire suppression resources were on site, I assure you, there was little chance of buring the forest down. As for me getting too close to the fire, well the camera makes it look a bit more...

Use RC50 for land clearing in the woods. Had an oops.

So all was working GREAT! I was cutting the trees into 8 foot sections, and was easily picking them up and dropping into nice piles. Was also taking all the brush and misc crap and easily moving it to other sort files for disposal later. In 3 hours I accomplished what would take 2 of us 8-10...

    Interesting cold weather behavior.

So I have been using my ASV RC50 for general snow removal. This past weekend it was down to about -15F and the RC started like a champ every time I needed it. I did however experience a wierd problem. When I went to back the machine out of the garage, the tracks on one side wouldnt move. It was...

Bought used SkidSteer, was a little misled. Opinions?

They agreed to my terms. The customer service guy was great, and I do believe that he and the sales person understood my issues, and took responsibility for them. I'm guessing they will take heed and will work harder to disclose issues as well as check the machins more carfully before shipping.

Bought used SkidSteer, was a little misled. Opinions?

Ok, got it running. Sure enough, it was out of fuel! So, to recap, a machine that was advertised as 'no cosmetic or mechanical damage' had: 1: Inop Fuel Gauge 2: Missing angle indicator 3: Crushed step 4: Dented in front bar on roll cage / cockpit 5: Used good condition bucked instead of...

Bought used SkidSteer, was a little misled. Opinions?

Thanks for the tips! I called my local ASV dealer (rentalex) and they are sending a tech to look at it. If it's something simple, I may keep the machine. If not, It has officially joined the ranks of mt Gehl 2600 and will have already consumed more of my time making it work, than using it! It...
